Using one of your “recontextualized” bathroom icon sets, recontextualize it again by using it as the major graphic in a public service poster.
The poster message should include public information regarding a critical cultural issue - medical, environmental, economic - but NO overt political positions please. The purpose of the poster is to introduce an important issue and/or concern (such as “the risks of colon cancer”), then empower the viewer with information, and/or a link to information, that will help them to do something regarding the issue (such as “get a colonoscopy by age 50”).
The public service poster design below is an example of a public service poster I quickly designed in class using one of your classmate’s icons. It is merely for reference purposes only as to what a public service poster may entail, but is not necessarily the direction your design must and/or should take. Your poster however, must include a real and/or hypothetical (as shown in my poster) sender, as well as a “call to action” and/or a reference for more information.
The poster size will be 11x17 and in color.
Tight comps are due at the beginning of class Tuesday, September 17th.
